How did you attract/address your audience?

Our product attracted the audience of men because our opening sequence only contains men. This clearly suggests that the film is masculine based and had a more male dominant target audience. Men are attracted by this as they can identify with the film and they can relate to characters in the film. This was done purposely because we wanted our product to be aimed at males in particular. This is because men are more likely to watch thriller films.


Another way in which our product has attracted the target audience is through the violence throughout our opening sequence. This is because stereotypically men are more attracted to violence in films than women are. Therefore, our target audience is attracted through the violence shown in the film. The violence is mild in the film but it would still attract men because they would want to see violence in the film if that what they look for in a film.


As well as that, our target audience is also attracted to our film as it is quite suspenseful and there is action in a lot of the opening sequence. This means that the action is a key part of the product. The action attracts our audience because men stereotypically wan to see action in films and therefore will want to see our film. The climax in the opening sequence adds to it as it emphasises the action the the sequence and makes the target audience for our product want to watch more.
